College Partnerships Rigorous academic preparation that leads students to acheivment in college in the hall mark at Withrow University High School. Our one-to-one college center gives students and families exstensive guidance on how to choose a college, gain admission and secure scholarships. Incoming freshman participate in the Summer Bridge Program held at Xaveir University. Our strategic partnerships with the University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, Miami University, and Cincinnati State Technical and Community College allow students to start college classes and earn college credits while still in high school. ConnectEDU is a web based program designed for students to communicate their college needs to the Counselor and/or teacher(s) of WUHS. Even if you don't know what to pursue in college, ConnectEDU can offer suggestions based on your academic strengths and weaknesses. Parents can monitor student's college progress on ConnectEDU. Functions of ConnectEDU: • Provides access to all ACT & SAT test dates for the school year; • Allows students to request transcripts and letters of recomendations from Counselors and/or teacher(s); • Researches college of interest and apply to college on-line; • Finds information on college campus and visitation days; • Explores financial aid & scholarship options. |
