The online lottery to assign students to Cincinnati Public Schools' high schools opens Tuesday, January 12, 2020.
The lottery will assign high school seats for the 2021-22 school year.
New this year: the High School Lottery has one expanded lottery application period and runs January 12 through April 16, 2021. All applications submitted will enter a computerized random lottery; each application has equal opportunity to enter first-choice high schools no matter when the application is entered during the application period.
CPS students now in grades 6, 7 or 8 may submit lottery applications using any computer with Internet access. Parents or guardians of these CPS students also may enter high school lottery applications, but a student may be entered into the lottery only once.
