CINCINNATI —Dayana Munoz took the microphone Thursday to talk about the importance of the "Get the Groceries" program, and she would know.
Just a few years ago, Munoz was a Withrow High School student going grocery shopping with a Cincinnati police officer for her Christmas dinner.
"(It was great) being able to have food for the holidays and being able to have food to enjoy with your family," said Munoz.
Thursday marked the 11th annual "Get the Groceries" program at the Oakley Kroger. The event is held by the Cincinnati Police Activities League.
"It's the opportunity to develop relationships that may not otherwise be developed," said Sgt. William Bell.
